Fund Accountant

$85,000 - $100,000 BASE SALARY

The Role:

The fund accountant will be responsible for financial reporting of the fund entities, alongside internal reporting and cash management.

JobĀ  Description:

  • Review quarterly and annual financial statement package including investor reporting
  • Review work product from fund administrator including capital call and distribution allocations and notices
  • Liaise with other areas of organization, including investment team, tax, client services
  • Manage cash expenditures and maintain fund budgets with service providers and internal approvals
  • Review of fund expenses for appropriateness under limited partnership agreement and allocation across fund vehicles and business management
  • Review and understand partnership agreements and accounting methodologies
  • Work closely with senior team members on accounting and operational issues

Required Skills:

  • The individuals must be a problem solver with an ability take on new projects.
  • Ability to work as part of a close partnership with the finance team and the firm as a whole.
  • 2-4 years of Big 4 or relevant work experience in fund accounting and private equity
  • Undergraduate degree in Accounting
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel and strong analytical skills
  • Understanding of valuation, consolidation, partner allocations, distribution waterfalls, IRRs, investor multiples
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
