Head of Third Party Vendor Management

The Role:

The Head of Third Party Vendor Management will incorporate various roles within the business, including but not limited to on-boarding and management of third parties and associated projects.

Job  Description:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact and managing relationships with service providers
  • Act as first point of contact for new requests for products or solutions, documenting requirements and working with management to assess impact and value to the organization.
  • Work with CFO to negotiate fees and service agreements with all counterparties
  • Coordinate with Operational Risk Working Group (“ORWG”) to determine and manage any potential for third party risk, as well as any issues that may arise as a result of a third party problem or failure.
  • Negotiate and Manage third party service and licenses to ensure competitive pricing, favorable terms, efficiency and compliance of said agreements
  • Own and execute projects to achieve on-boarding, delivery or upgrade of key products and solutions.
  • Address investor and prospective investor’s questions to provide transparency and assist in operational due diligence sessions regarding third party security evaluations.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, and/or other relevant education and/or experience.
  • Broad-based vendor management, project management experience and technology experience. Experience in financial services would be preferred.
  • Experience in negotiating service agreements and contracts preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal skills with clients, vendors and teammates, with an ability to summarize and translate between business and technical contexts
  • Experience managing product/services TCO and lifecycle
  • Ability to work within a structured and defined governance framework
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills; poise, gravitas, and the ability to lead through influence rather than control, creating consensus based support for business strategies and decisions.
  • Communicates well both verbally and in writing
  • Excellent team-working, collaboration and inter-personal skills
  • Excellent time and task management skills
  • Strong negotiating skills and understanding of contract terms and complexities is preferred
  • Ability to multi-task and be extremely organized
  • Takes initiative to seek out new opportunities and responsibilities
  • Demonstrates a commitment to diversity
