Product Manager (Fixed Income)

The Role:

The Fixed Income Analyst will work closely with Fixed Income Product and US Fixed Income Investment team to deliver investment and product information to a range of internal and external clients. Excellent data management and excel skills are required, with attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines. Knowledge of fixed income market is required.

JobĀ  Description:

  • Prepare, understand, calculate and report portfolio characteristics, statistics, and other investment data for our Fixed Income Products, including Credit, Multi-Sector, Securitized and EMD to our internal (sales, client service) and external clients in a timely manner. Accounts include segregated mandates, UCITS funds and US mutual funds.
  • Create, write, update and maintain all product language and data for products in the RFP databases and work with RFP and client portfolio managers to complete and customize RFPs, DDQs and RFIs as needed.
  • Write product and client monthly and quarterly commentaries including market updates, performance commentary using attribution, positioning and outlook.
  • Prepare data and update product and fund presentations as well as client marketing material including fund fact sheets, sales aids and quarterly investment reports.
  • Update consultant and client databases with product data and portfolio information.
  • Provide ad hoc analysis and responses for daily product and client queries
  • Assist with competitive analysis using Morningstar and eVestment.
  • Develop comprehensive product knowledge on fixed income investments and all US Fixed Income products.

Required Skills:

  • CFA or advanced degree a plus
  • Preferable degree in finance or economics related field.
  • Preferable working in an asset management firm or investment consulting firm
  • Minimum 1-3 years fixed income investment experience,
  • Knowledge of fixed income market and products.
  • Bachelor degree required
  • Strong finance, math, data management, and quantitative skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, especially Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with Macros and VBA a plus
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written required
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Aladdin experience a plus
  • Must be very detailed oriented and highly organized with the excellent time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines
