Vice President – Digital Transformation

$150,000 to $200,000 PLUS BONUS

The Role:

A global Alternative Investment firm is looking to hire someone to lead and create a project management group that will identify opportunities to create process improvements across all business lines and functions.  The position will report directly to the CFO.



Job  Description:

  • Work with all business lines and functions to document existing system and process flows, and identify potential efficiencies
  • Work with all business lines and functions to implement new systems and processes, including requirements gathering, documentation, and ongoing troubleshooting
  • Work to create a data fabric for access to all of the Firm’s data in a uniform way
  • Act as a liaison between Finance/Investment Team and the firm’s Technology Team
  • Work with the Technology Team to drive the integration of the current and future technology stack
  • Review and monitor progress of feature development for applications supported by the firm’s Technology Team
  • Lead end user testing of new system functionalities
  • System architecture in a micro-services framework
  • Designing and implementing or integrating job-scheduler and workflow systems
  • Emphasis on finance, accounting, marketing and non-investment functions initially, but also work across investment teams in each business line
  • Spend some time working across the private equity portfolio teams on digital transformation efforts within the firm’s private equity portfolio companies
  • Work with portfolio company and private equity deal teams to develop a financially justified digital strategy
  • Ensure consistency in workstreams and sharing of best practices across the portfolio;


Required Skills:

  • 5-10 years of experience in the investment space and at least 10 years work experience more broadly
  • Demonstrated executive leadership experience working across functions; preferably with experience in private equity environments
  • Demonstrate ability to lead cultural change using new / innovative technologies, both within technology and other business functions
  • Must have some accounting and operations knowledge
  • Must have a proven track record of finance transformation, including examples of application rollouts and process improvements
  • Knowledge of professional software engineering practices and best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
  • Experience leading design and implementation of high performance desktop, mobile and web-based user interfaces
  • Working knowledge and practical experience with highly distributed, multi-tenant and multi-tier architectures
  • Experience with large-scale software implementation (high transaction volume, high availability concepts)
  • Working knowledge of and practical experience with cloud-based hosting solutions and automation workflows using Open Source or Vendor Based Tools.
