Single Family Office located in Manhattan is expanding their team and looking to add an Accounting Manager/Associate Director of Finance to the team.
Responsible for day-to-day accounting records across various business lines (including real estate, hospitality, aviation), including preparation of journal entries, monthly bank account / credit card reconciliations.
Regular review of multiple company files to identify recurring/missing expense activity and make appropriate recommendations for remediation.
Preparation of weekly Accounts Payable report, following up on outstanding checks and with vendors, as necessary.
Maintain and reconcile on a weekly basis intercompany balances between company files.
Track daily costs in detail with the ability to identify outliers/trends and create reports to summarize findings.
Responsible for adhering to current expense allocation policy and recording costs amongst various company files, including communicating with vendors and company employees as necessary to verify billings and project progress.
Understanding of monthly and annual reporting processes and the impact of daily record keeping on these processes.
Must be extremely detail-oriented, meticulous, diligent, and a team player with excellent communication skills.
Position is full-time, in-person at least 3 days/week.
Previous experience with management companies, hospitality/restaurants, construction, aircraft, general tax knowledge and preparation of tax schedules a plus.
QuickBooks (Online and Desktop-Enterprise), Excel and PowerPoint knowledge required.
