A $100B AUM client is seeking a talented Accountant to join the Corporate Accounting Department. The ideal candidate should have technical financial services industry accounting experience, an understanding of the financial statement close process and controls. This role will report into an Accounting Manager and will provide wide exposure to our accounting processes.
Responsibilities
Accounting for fees from client services, our primary revenue driver.
Work with the Accounting Manager on the financial statement close process for certain bank subsidiaries.
Prepare subsidiary financial statements.
Become technically proficient in bank regulatory reporting, including call report preparation.
Assist Accounting Manager on more complex areas including lease accounting and certain compensation plans.
Support the Assistant Controller in our close acceleration project.
Become a point of contact for external and internal auditors.
Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, CPA required
Public accounting experience preferred
2-4 years of experience in financial services accounting and/ or auditing
Effective knowledge of Excel
Effective analytical, writing, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
Excellent attention to detail and highly motivated
