ETF Middle Office

A Global Asset Management firm is looking to add to its ETF Middle Office Middle office. The role will support trade desk operations for agency trade trade bookings, correspondence with client operations and settlement teams, correspondence with ETF custody banks, liaise with  DTC and international settlements. Alignment and settlement of trades and collateral movements associated with creations and redemptions.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Responsible for facilitating front to back Operations process of the ETF trade lifecycle, from working with traders on booking through to final settlement. This includes key elements such as confirmations, settlements, regulatory reporting) and facilitate issue resolution across teams.
  • Supporting clients in setting up new accounts through settlement.
  • Candidates will assist order flow dynamics, and other relevant considerations.
  • Complete intraday / end-of-day processes including completeness and reconciliation checks to ensure capture of new trading activity and general book management has been processed accurately.
  • Understand the key elements of other infrastructure groups (i.e. Finance, Market risk, Credit risk, Operational risk, Legal, Collateral etc.) and recognize the impact of the actions of the Trade support team on these areas
  • Facilitation of cross-organizational communication, including real time liaising with multiple business lines and groups to accurately identify real time risk issues; must have the ability work collaboratively, explain, and challenge trading issues as appropriate; support a ‘one team approach.’
  • Ensure all controls & reconciliation are diligently performed, completed, and signed-off on a timely basis. Candidates will also have direct exposure to the P&L functions of the desk by working with the Product Control team.
  •  Participate and contribute to the various strategic initiatives; keep improving and evolving processes and business architecture.


  •  Hold a bachelor’s degree and and/or hold Series 99, 7,63
  • Preferred: Knowledge of the ETF product and the mechanics of its trading lifecycle, including but not limited to the overall create redeem business, collateral management, settlements, clearing, reconciliations
  • Preferred: familiar with agency trading for clients in an agency capacity.
  • Preferred: End to end understanding of trade flows
  • Preferred: Prior operational and/or line experience with DTC, CTM ALERT.
  • Great team player able to work in a pressurized and changing environment.
  • Self-motivation and demonstration of initiative – flexible and able to assist wherever needed.
  • Attention to details and sense of ownership.
  • Ability to problem-solve, perform controls, and manage complex project timelines.
  • Strong oral and written, interpersonal, & presentation communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills; must be able to multitask.
  • Strong PC skills specifically excel, word and PowerPoint
