A global private equity firm with over $8 billion in AUM is looking to hire a Fund Accountant / Senior Fund Accountant to join its Finance & Accounting team. The firm focuses on middle-market investments in businesses with complex strategies. The team is currently responsible for managing the accounting, valuation, reporting and internal control matters for a portfolio of diverse assets.

Responsibilities:

• Work on private equity fund accounting tasks such as carried interest calculations, distributions, claw backs, waterfall calculations, capital calls / distributions, and management fee calculations
• Prepare quarterly and annual books and records, including financial statements, partners’ capital allocations, LP capital account statements, and summary investment schedules
• Work on portfolio valuation processes and incorporate changes into Fund models
• Coordinate with internal deal team
• Respond to various investor related requests

Qualifications:

• 4 – 8 years of experience at a public accounting firm (working on private equity clients) or experience with private equity fund accounting at a fund or external administrator
• CPA preferred
• Willing to come into the NYC based office 4-5 days a week
• Eligible to work in the United States without any sponsorship
