The Investment Office (IO) of a $1.1Bn college endowment is looking to hire an Investment Analyst for their Investment Office. The IO is responsible for determining and implementing the investment strategy of the endowment. Responsibilities:
Key member of the Investments team in all aspects of the investment process, including participating in meetings with existing and prospective managers; developing quantitative and qualitative evaluation of investment opportunities; supporting and defending investment views; analyzing performance and portfolio characteristics, and preparing research and monitoring deliverables and contributing meaningfully to investment recommendations
Tracking of and support screening prospective investment opportunities
Analyzing and synthesizing quantitative and qualitative data relating to general investment concepts, as well as performance and exposures of individual managers, asset classes, and the overall portfolio and articulating key findings and trends
Supporting strategic research projects that further team-wide knowledge about markets and/or opportunity sets
Interfacing with fund managers to collect data and insights to inform various analyses
Qualifications:
Minimum 1 – 2 years relevant experience in asset management, finance, accounting, investing, consulting, or like field
The candidate must be eligible to work in the United States without requirement for employer sponsored work visa, now or in the future
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a relevant field
Strong mathematical foundation, with a working knowledge of financial math, accounting concepts, and statistics
Basic knowledge of, and genuine interest in capital markets and investing as a career path
Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills, with a demonstrated ability to learn systems (Capital IQ, Bloomberg, etc) that support the quantitative aspects of investment diligence and monitoring.
Intended or Active Pursuit of CFA or CAIA certification is a plus
