Summary:
$6 billion alternative investment firm is looking for a database engineer.

Responsibilities:

• Senior database engineer to lead the design, development, and support of our SQL Server and Power BI environments. This is a great opportunity to collaborate with key business stakeholders in delivering secure, reliable, robust, and efficient databases and technology solutions.
• Partner with the CTO to enhance the firm’s technical architecture.
• Manage policies and processes for data governance, data quality, system performance, technical architecture, data backup, and disaster recovery.
• Support and improve the current SQL Server and Power BI environments.
• Work with stakeholders to identify business requirements, data sources, and key measures for reports and applications.
• Create dashboards and reports that enable stakeholders to quickly understand trends and patterns in financial data sets.
• Conduct performance tuning to optimize SQL queries and data access patterns.

Qualifications:

• 5–10 years of experience administering, optimizing, and architecting databases.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering.
• Extensive experience in database design, tuning, and support with MS SQL Server.
• Experience with Power BI modeling, data aggregation, calculations, and DAX queries.
