Reconciliations Analyst

Position can be located in NYC or CT.

Our client is a multi-billion-dollar macro alternative asset management firm, deploying multiple absolute return strategies for over 15 years. 

Responsibilities:

· Reconcile transactions and distribute breaks to necessary team members by department

o Types of Reconciliations include:

 – Prime Broker, Custody and Bank

 – Cash

 – Position

– OTC

– Collateral

– Market Value

· Position

– Administrator

· Positions by Strategy

· Cash and positions

· Identify boxed positions within subaccount and instruct PB to collapse if needed

· Update and distribute dashboard summary reports

· Communicate with prime brokers and the fund administrator to help resolve breaks

· Review reports and files from counterparties and ensure they are received in timely fashion

· Manage and distribute aged break reports to senior management and portfolio managers

· Assist in providing documents during audit and other exams

Qualifications:

· Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in financial services operations or trade support

· Experience with financial products (i.e. Equities and Equity Swap, Bank Loans, Convertible and Corp Bonds, PIPES, CDS, CDX and other listed securities).

· 4-year bachelor’s degree

· Professional, very detailed oriented, and highly organized

· Ability to prioritize and manage their time effectively

· Work independently

· Adaptability in fast growing environment

· Must be able to take initiative and facilitate various needs to various departments within the firm including front office

· High level communication skills, both verbal and written

· Proficiency in dealing with a variety of computer systems
