A New York City Based Non-Profit is looking to hire a Controller to oversee the accounting operations of the business.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all accounting functions through the general ledger
- Coordinate with external auditors for the annual audit
- Comply with all relevant government reporting requirements and tax filings
- Experience with annual audits, 990, annual 1099, annual NYS – CFR, 5500, Compliance with Deficit Reduction act (DRA), OMIG – Social Services Law
- Oversight of all payroll activities
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience with non-profits in public accounting or within the accounting department of a non-profit
- Degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA helpful but not required
- Hardworking and eager to learn
