Credit Operations Associate

Overview:
The credit team focuses on a number of credit strategies, including proprietary originations, opportunistic credit and stressed/distressed opportunities. As a Credit Operations Associate, you will be given a significant level of responsibility and take ownership of critical tasks while collaborating across the credit team and broader organization and learning from experienced professionals. This is a unique opportunity to join a firm with an excellent track record in both private credit and private equity.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Onboard and maintain private / public loan positions in portfolio management system
  • Perform all asset servicing responsibilities for the life of a loan
  • Assist private/public loan closings and loan fundings, including trade confirmations
  • Reconcile loan notices from loan agents with portfolio management system and fund administrator
  • Review and confirm all cash flows, including interest payments, paydowns, amortizations and loan interest calculations for TRS facilities
  • Work with third-party valuation agent on quarterly valuation process; Prepare materials for FP valuation committee
  • Lead KYC process with loan counterparties, including loan agents
  • Work with FP accounting team and fund administrator on monthly and quarter-end close process
  • Maintain fund IRR models
  • Work with Investor Relations team on LP requests, including client reporting requests
  • Support credit investment team as needed, including producing portfolio reports
  • Contribute to other projects and initiatives as needed for the credit group

Key Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years middle-office operations / loan asset servicing experience
  • Strong quantitative and financial analytical skills
  • Strong Microsoft Excel required; working knowledge of FIS VPM a plus (or other loan portfolio management system)
  • Impeccable attention to detail with strong organizational skills
  • Comfort managing multiple workstreams and ability to transition between projects seamlessly
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-motivated, takes initiative and able to work proactively; ability to anticipate what is needed for successful outcomes
  • Team-player, collaborative and driven to deliver high quality work
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work across internal constituents, including the investment team, Finance, Operations and Investor Relations
