The Firm
A Credit Fund is looking for a hands on lead data engineer/architect.  The fund was founded in 2012, and is a specialist asset manager focused on income-oriented credit investments in niche and inefficient markets. The firm employs approximately 70 professionals, has about $8 Billion in assets, and is based in Greenwich, CT.

Job Responsibilities
We are seeking a highly motivated Lead Data Engineer with expertise in cloud technologies to help build out a new cutting-edge data platform.  What you will do:

  • Lead the development and architecture of a new cloud-based platform for collecting and aggregating financial data.
  • Integrate to various application platforms via REST interfaces using modern middleware technologies.
  • Build cutting-edge interfaces to leverage Large Language Models (LLMs) such as OpenAI to process financial documents.
  • Develop analytics/dashboards using visualization tools such a Power BI/Tableau.
  • Stay up to date on trends, best practices, and emerging technologies across the data engineering space and integrate into the platform where applicable.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • Candidate is a self-motivated problem-solver with strong relationship building skills
  • Proven experience as a lead engineer, with a focus on cloud-based solutions (AWS/Azure).
  • Extensive experience working with relational databases such as Snowflake.
  • Proficient in programming languages such as Python.
  • Understanding of financial statements and loan data.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
