Tax Manager

Single Family Office dedicated to serving the unique financial needs of a single high net worth family is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Tax Manager to manage all aspects of tax planning and compliance for the SFO and its affiliated entities. 

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review individual, trust, estate, partnership, private foundation and gift tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations.
  • Conduct tax research and analysis to address complex tax issues and provide strategic guidance to senior management and family members.
  • Coordinate with external tax advisors, legal counsel, and other professional service providers to support tax planning initiatives and ensure alignment with overall wealth management objectives.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to assess the tax implications of investment decisions, estate planning strategies, and other financial transactions.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and industry trends to inform decision-making and mitigate potential risks.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities and optimize financial outcomes for the family office and its beneficiaries.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, advanced degree (e.g., Master of Taxation) preferred.
  • CPA preferred.
  • 5-7 years of experience in tax advisory services, with a focus on high net worth individuals and trusts.
  • Strong understanding of individual and fiduciary tax laws, including estate, gift, and generation-skipping transfer taxes.
  • Proficiency in tax software and financial planning tools (e.g., ProSystem fx Tax, BNA Income Tax Planner).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and collaborate effectively with clients and colleagues.
