A $20+ billion global alternatives firm that invests across the capital structure ,with a focus in credit and real estate, is looking for an experienced tax professional to join their team.

Responsibilities:

• Preparation and review of federal, state, local and foreign tax and informational returns, K-1 allocation work papers, estimates and projections for numerous entities (including onshore and offshore investment funds, real estate funds, domestic and foreign special purpose corporations and partnerships);
• Quarterly tax estimate allocations and deliverables;
• Preparation and review of FATCA/CRS filings;
• Reviewing tax accruals and tax aspects of financial statement preparation;
• Coordinating extensive tax compliance functions as well as compliance with global reporting requirements for the Hedge funds, real estate funds, and CLOs;  and
• Researching tax accounting positions associated with specific transactions and investments and work closely with Operations teams to maximize tax efficient structures.

This person will work closely with global colleagues in Japan, Singapore, Luxembourg, Dublin, UK on international tax matters and filings.

Qualifications:

• 4-7 years of experience in hedge funds, and investment vehicles
• CPA license required
• Must have compliance experience with investment partnership allocations
• Individual and corporate compliance experience is a plus
• Highly proficient in Excel
• Experience with reviewing security analysis for complex investments, including derivatives
• Ability to research technical tax and accounting issues with the ability to communicate and document findings
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Ability to multi-task varying priorities and execute in a high volume environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Strong work ethic and self-motivated
