A global private equity fund with over $50b in AUM is looking to hire an Accounts Payable Specialist to join its Accounting team. The team is currently responsible for managing the entire Accounts Payable process for the management company side of the firm.

Responsibilities:

• Reviewing and coding of invoices for accuracy of cost allocation, compliance with the firm’s guidelines and accounting policies.
• Assisting in preparing weekly payment runs for Management Co., selecting invoices for payment, managing AP cash spending.
• Processing domestic and international payments to third party vendor typically via EFT/Wire daily.
• Processing employee reimbursement payments.
• Identifying and setting up new vendors in AP database according to the firms’ procedures including appropriate tax classification set up and income reportability, and payment instructions.
• Setting up third party vendors payment templates in Cash Management System.  
• Processing general ledger transaction reflecting AP activities.
• Booking payments and other cash transactions initiated by Accounts Payable as appropriate and making sure bank balance agrees to book balance.
• Participating in annual 1099 process, that includes data review, printing and mailing out forms, and electronic filing to IRS.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of Accounts Payable experience 
• College degree a strong plus
• Financial Services experience a plus 
• Ability to work with all levels of management and employees in the open team environment.
• Open to working in NYC office 3 days a week
